Restore sanity to your commute.

A healthy idea to think about:

Negotiating traffic snarls can leave your serenity in tatters and your muscles frozen in knots. To mitigate this stress, exercise before you head home after work; you’ll be amazed at how much calmer you feel behind the wheel.

Consult with your physician before beginning any exercise regimen.

Even better is to ride a bike or run to work.  Not only do you get a workout, but you eliminate the commute.  If you live where this is possible (and have a gym at work to shower in the AM), you can get fit and get to work at the same time.

I totally agree with this idea.  I always exercise right after work.  One reason is so I don't hit rush hour traffic but I'm always so relaxed on the way home.  Sometimes too relaxed...haha!  I always feel really good and am usually in my best mood when I leave the gym.  This helps my "road rage" problem trememdously.  ;)

Actually, my commute is the only time in my day that I don't have people (co-workers, kids, husband, family) asking me to do something for them!  It is my time to get away and relax, as strange as that sounds!

Instead of trying to commute across 2 of the busiest bridges in Seattle, I just take the bus.  I have to walk to and from the stations (which equates to about 3 miles everyday) and it's nice to just read for 35 minutes vs. cursing the carpool lanes for an hour!
