Out of sight, out of stomach.

A healthy idea to think about:

When hunger dominates your brain and you’re foraging for a quick snack, you’ll grab whatever’s tasty and within easy reach, right? Trick your tummy by positioning healthy foods like fruit and yogurt at the front of your refrigerator, so you’re more likely to pick them. Hide high-calorie temptations in the back.

Right.  And when I do pick up the healthy foods first, I am less likely to want anything more.

I agree with you.  I try to keep the high calorie temptations out of the house.  It makes it so much easier.

That's a great tip!  Thank You!  Now if I can just keep my son from putting all the junk food back in front I'll be good!

Great tip.  One other thing I have been trying is sticking to my list at the grocery store so that all I have at home is healthy snacks.  It is VERY hard to do but the other tip to go to bed earlier combined with sticking to my list has been working (so far!)

This worked for a lady at work - her son was hungry and she offered a banana, PB&J sandwich or an apple.  He decided he wasn't really that hungry.
